What others may not know
I have always been a fan of a good back story, well that’s not exactly true I am a fan of a backstory even if its not the best. I like to know more thought went into whatever I might be buying or experiencing. Maybe that’s why I like Tiki as much as I do. That extra effort in telling a story take that object from just a trinket to a collectable worth seeking out. While that isn’t alway the case with Tiki Mugs, when it is I feel there is an extra non tanageable value that the outside world is un aware of.
Think of it like this, you have a prop from a move you really like, its and awsome prop that you think is a reprodution (copy) of the real prop, only to find out it is the actual prop used in the movie, and now you feel like it has this extra something to it, its like that… (Granted a real movie prop would probably go up in value if it was confirmed to be in the actual movie but thats not the point)
I think those extra back stories are lost with the average person thats just “getting a drink”. In my travels I have been fortunate to collect a few of those items with a little more to them, and i want to share them here with what I know of the backstory for those you are unaware of it, or have seen it but just didnt take the time to look closer.
